Norwegian Hull Club will establish an office in the Greek capital in autumn 2027, strengthening its presence in one of the world's most important shipping markets.
For many years, Greece has been one of Norwegian Hull Club's most significant markets. The Club already serves a substantial Greek portfolio and has built strong relationships with shipowners, brokers and industry partners across the country.
Closer to clients and partners
The decision to establish an office in Athens is rooted in a simple belief: being close to clients and brokers matters.
Hans Christian Seim, CEO, said: "Athens is a natural next step for us given its long shipping history, the size of the market and not least shipping’s role in Greek culture. We need to be present to truly understand the dynamics at play and to continue to build on our strong, long-term strategic partnerships, as well as building new relationships in this vibrant shipping hub.”
He added: “By establishing a local presence, we are investing in being even closer to our clients, brokers and other partners, while bringing with us the values and service culture that define Norwegian Hull Club."
Being present locally enables Norwegian Hull Club to strengthen relationships, gain a deeper understanding of clients' businesses and continue delivering the service for which The Club is known: experienced people, specialist expertise, strong claims support and long-term partnerships built on trust.
The Athens office marks an important step in Norwegian Hull Club's international development. Headquartered in Bergen, Norway, The Club also has offices in Oslo and London. This autumn, Norwegian Hull Club will celebrate the tenth anniversary of its London office. The experience gained from building a local presence on Lime Street has reinforced the value of being close to clients and partners in key shipping markets.
The Athens office will be co-located with subsidiary company Marine Benefits, which earlier announced plans to establish a presence in Greece.
